If anyone has tried the Benjamin Discovery multi-pellet pack that includes one described as the "Pointed Expanding Pellet," you should know that this pellet is the Crosman Destroyer Pellet.
I emailed Crosman about it, and got this in response:
"Yep they are the DES22. Have a great rest of the week and always shoot happy.
Chuck"
Thanks Chuck, and thanks Crosman. The Benjamin Discovery Pointed Expanding Pellets >are< the Crosman Destroyer Pellets.

That's pretty cool response and great info. Thanks for sharing.

Yes Benjamin is just repacked/rebranded H&N pellets most of the time.

try again, that's obviously not the case. beeman labeled pellets are mostly rebranded h&n, not Benjamin ;)

Yup, just Destroyers, but they are pretty accurate for me out to 40 yards.

But of course Beeman. Read faster then my mind there :)

Has anyone found these pellets to be any more effective than the hollow points at taking small game. They are 4 dollars more a tin here than the hollow points.

personally wouldn't waste my time as I have only owned one airgun that liked them.

I just recently got a .22 synthetic Marauder - "Syndie" - and picked up a bunch of different pellets to try through her. Of the different pellets, one box was the Benjamin Discovery multi-pellet pack. This is a four-pellet sampler that includes one described as the "Pointed Expanding Pellet." I could find no reference to it outside of the box it came in, so I inquired through Crosman and received a quick response.
The only reason I bothered to ask them about it is that this particular pellet did surprisingly well in my shoot-off of a dozen or so different pellets. None of the others in the Benjamin Discovery multi-pellet pack even came close.
Anyway, I couldn't find any Benjamin Discovery Pointed Expanding Pellets, but I could find the Devastator pellets - which looked amazingly similar - so went about making the connection.
I still need to see if the Devastators will perform in any of my other rifles, but at this point I know of at least one pellet that groups well through Syndie.

The Benji Discovery Pointed Expanded=Destroyers.

While I don't have an Mrod ( some day ) my 2289 shooting ANY of the pellets in the Benjamin hunting assortment shoots almost all of them the same and they are quite obviously just rebranded Crosman pellets. If your gun shoots them well, then the 400 pellet assortment is a good deal. Otherwise not so much. They actually work pretty well for me but I'm sticking with RWS and JSB because they are better and have fewer flyers.
Also as was noted, anything Beeman is just rebranded H&N for more money but H&N are good pellets!
While on the subject of rebranded pellets, does anyone think:
Air Arms Falcon .22 Cal, 5.52mm, 13.43 Grains, Domed, 500ct is the same pellet as
JSB Match Diabolo Exact Jumbo RS .22 Cal, 13.43 Grains, Domed, 500ct ?
Because they look exactly the same and have exactly the same weight and the odds of that seem pretty slim!

My lower power ( compared to Mrod ) 2289 LOVES these and I can hit targets farther away very well.

I saw a video review on some Air Arms rifles and it was mentioned that JSB manufactures the AA pellets using dies owned by AA.
