How do you touch up scratches and wear marks on a barrel?

No it depends on the bluing method you use though there is work involved in bluing.   And I say usually as some guns have barrels that are painted, or plated.   Though for most they are blued.

If your talking numerous or long large scratches you will need to reblue the barrel to get uniformity and something that looks right and nice.  If it is slight ding marks then you can use a touch up blue compound but for very small areas only or it will look horrendous!

You might check out Youtube.  There's a lot of videos on touch up with cold bluing.

A black magic marker works well for very small spots!!!

If all is needed is a marker.  Did get this at Sports Authority.  Comes in flat and gloss black.
