Yeah, get hold of Jim Macari and order a new seal, in fact order a kit and keep the old spring for a spare.

a kit wont help me, I have a piston that is seemingly useless lol.

Josh, google "replacing leather seal in FWB 124 by BB Pelletier" and go to the link on his article about A shrine built for a Feinwerkbau 124. I think it's in Part 4 about the seal. Hope that helps. But I'm sure that you can replace that leather seal with a new synthetic one.

I figured it out, they never had a leather seal. this gun has been for lack of better terms jerry rigged. the original piston seal had been cut off and drilled and tapped and a leather seal and home made washer screwed in place...

Can you post a picture of the end of the piston. I think I'd still get hold of JM and ask him if he has a seal that would work. Or try Tom Gaylord ( I think he's at Pyramid) and ask him. I'm sure there's a way to fix it.

I done picked all the &^^& out, a normal seal will work, just ordered a pro mac kit for it.

well after cleaning and polishing parts, I have realized I need a cocking arm and shoe as well..... :( turning into a money pit .... shoe has been repaired at some point in its life, "dang" good welding job, but its starting to form a hairline crack along the weld, same issue with the lug on the cocking lever....

Glad to hear that you can replace the seal. Even with a few replacement/repairs you still have a rifle worth double what you paid. Fix it and you'll have a fine weapon. It's worth it.
