Title: Anybody here with a Benjamin Trail that
Post by: ray1377 on December 31, 2010, 04:56:19 PM
comes from the factory with the nice sling and sling mounts installed?
I'd really like to see a close up picture of how they have attached the sling to the front
part of the rifle.  Is it a special bracket?
Does it mount to the wooden stock or to the metal somehow?
Any pic would be of great help.
Thanks
Ray

Ray,
I'd post pix, but I'm at the girlfriend's house.

Anyway, the Trail NP and NPXL cocking linkage slot cut in the front of the stock is widened to allow a special U-shaped "toggle" to attach on the lenghtened rivet of the front cocking  linkage hinge point.

The front end of the sling loops through the widened, closed end of that toggle, the rear of the sling goes through a standard, wood stock type sling swivel.

Yes that helps me for sure.
Those pics are great and there is no doubt as to how that works.
