NO.   It is way tooo lite for your rifle.  Don't use PBA pellets.  Too lite of a pellet results in "piston slam".  This will destroy your piston seal.   You can go to Wmart and get Crosman Premier Hollow Point 7.9g pellets cheaply, and they will suffice for a break-in pellet, and a starting point for you.  If you hear a "crack", like a .22 rifle,,,then go to a heavier pellet, in the 8.4-10.5g range.  That little bit of weight makes a BIG difference in air rifles.   You might also look in the GTA LIBRARY for proper cleaning and care, for your new BreakBarrel style air rifle.  LOTSA good info there.
Welcome and Good Shoot'n to Ya ;)

hey sean as mentioned PBA is not good for your rifle...as suggested get some cheapies to get er broke in a bit.
I use RWS pellets (superdome, meisterkugelin) and they seem to have the best shape to them and fly very well from my gamo
good luck!

Most of my Gamos like either the Gamo Rockets(8.4gr) or the RedFires (7.8gr) both available at Walmart...

Don't forget to clean the barrel early on if it's a new gun. Run a search in this forum for threads with details.
