What do folk generally use for a sight-in distance with air pistols? I recently received a Beeman P3 and of course took it straight out to the back yard. The first pellet I grabbed was an RWS 7 gr. Diabolo Basic and it had no trouble hitting an 8-inch gong at 60 feet off-hand 10 out 10 times. As others have noted -- the P3 has a very nice trigger. The shots grouped a little to the right, though. I have a sampler pack of ammo to play with next week. This is my first air-pistol -- what distances to folks usually use to get them sighted in?

I sight mine in at the distance I am going to shoot it at the most. Most of my pistol shooting is done at around 5 meters so that's where I sight mine at.

I shoot mine in the shop, 7 yds, standard pistol self defense training yardage. The P3 is a very nice pistol and capable of good groups. I feel it is well worth the premium over the P17 clone that I have seen, but have heard the newer ones are better, when they work, lol, tk

As above, at your usual shooting distance.
Mine is 10 meters.

For me it's 10 meter target shooting although many like the 5 meter targets .

I generally shoot my pistols at 10 meters, although I sometimes try to push the envelope and hit stuff at 20 and even 30 meters.
But when I am setting my red dot, I am at 10 meters. For distance shots, I just aim high and hope for the best :)
