Title: A question to BSA lighning owners
Post by: samTN on December 27, 2010, 09:29:36 AM
How do you know your BSA is a UK made?

I have two that I bought from Sportsman's Warehouse with a very beautiful stock that I do not think the Spanish version has it.  I do not see the statement “Made in Birmingham, England“ but the Sportsman’s Warehouse said they were the British made ones and they had them for a long time because they stopped carrying BSA rifles for some years now.  There is a statement about the manual being available from BSA Gunns (UK) Ltd, England.

Thanks

You can send an e-mail to the company in UK informing them about the rifles and their serial numbers and asking for information (manufacturing date etc). They should know better ;)  Can you show us some pictures of the stocks?

This is the new version of the first BSA Lightining called Lightning XL with different stock, trigger guard and barrel shroud. The "old" design rifles are like this one:

and yours are like this one:

I guess they are not too old as they might told you.
