Hi. Anyone know where to get a spring and seal for the Cometa 200? I have read crosman storm parts work, cut 3 coils off the spring, but would rather put in factory parts. Anyone here go thru one of these? Thanks, tk

The Cometa 200 is a discontinued model, it has been replaced by model 220.
It had a leather piston seal that is hard to find in these days. You can install the Vortek adapter for 26 mm piston seals plus a 26 mm seal that are easier to obtain:

As for the spring you can try and measure the internal diameter of your piston and look for a spring with slightly lower outside diameter. The trigger system in this rifle is not so good (trigger is heavy due to the design of the mechanism) therefore a short spring with minimal amount of preload will help you a lot in this area.

Interesting... I have read of folks replacing the seal with a crosman storm seal, 25mm. Not leather. IDK for sure, but will when I disassemble. Certainly will share when I have the rifle, tk

Let's not confuse things - the Cometa 200 and the Cometa 220 are two different rifles, they do not have many things in common. Check again to see for sure if your air rifle is a model 200 or a model 220. Here are some photos of the model 200:

and here are some photos of the model 220 who replaced it:

The leather piston seal for Cometa 200 is now obsolete and unless you try to make one yourself (it is easy) you can use the synthetic one with a factory adaptor that was issued recently - here is a picture of the adaptor and seal with the central screw and the trigger unit (from shops in Germany):

Here you can see how the old seal looked like, the change took place in January 2013:

And this is the piston seal and trigger unit from model 220:

The use of the synthetic piston seal in old design rifles is possible ONLY with the help of an adaptor.
I thought that you had already disassembled your rifle. When you do check the diameter of the main cylinder to see its dimension.

Thankyou, it is in transit, and I will post when it is here. Very helpful, thanks, tk

Forgot to say the gun is a RWS branded model 92. My understanding that is a Cometa 200 in disguise, lol
