On average ( assuming the shooter is used to the gun and it is broken in ) can a Hatsan 125 gas piston air rifle in .25 cal or .22 cal have 1 inch groups or less at 50 yards ?
-
My Patriot .25 shoots 0.68 groups at 30 so 1 inch at 50 yards is doable.

Donīt know about a 125, but I get sub 1" at 50 meters. Se my set up below.

Hey how do you "tune" the vortex gas piston ? I notice yours said 150 bar what is that ?

he means a 1500 PSI gas ram, you dont tune it, just the rest of the air chamber as normal.

What he did was increase the pressure in the ram, most other OEM rams are sealed the Vortex can be adjusted.
Back to shooting.....I haven't checked 50 yd groups but I pop starlings with mine out to 80 yds almost at will. Doing 1" at 50 yds with a springer repeatedly would be hard to do.

How high can you raise the power by ? 1 ft.lb ? 2 ft.lbs ?

Most are 135'ish bar from the factory, the ram has a sticker right on it that says do not exceed 150 bar. So factory pressure is around 2000 PSI and not to exceed 2200 PSI. Hatsan is just playing it safe and not running the rams at max pressure.
I have heard a few guys claiming 35'ish FPE with the ram maxed on pressure. If they are getting that I bet the shot cycle is nasty. My 125 ram pressure is whatever it was when I got it new, nothing has changed, shoots the same as it always has. The shot cycle really isn't bad for the power it has, my 125 is smoother than my Trail XL and the 125 does 60 FPS more in a tad lighter gun than the XL.

The Vortex gas piston is equipped with a standard FX/Hatsan PCP fillport. Itīs tunable up to recommended max 150 bar or 2175 psi for you guys. I tried 100, 120, 135 and 150. Accuracy wasnīt an issue or problem with increased power, so I went for 150 bar, to get most punch. Absolutely love the action of the ram, compared to the spring that was in it before. I do have removed the plastic front, removed the iron sights, shortened barrel and mounted a new AT44 aluminum wheirauch-copy "sajjlenser" .

I can get 1" groups out to 90 yards with my Sniper.
I'm sure the better scope I'll be getting will improve on the size.
Mine has the NP but was cleaned up and a better seal put in.

It's possible but you must REALY know your gun. Hard to do when you have pcp's as that will always be your goto gun so less time is spent practicing with gas/pringers.
