I will need a 1-piece drooper mount for this rifle and wondered what you guys like. I see that there are "fixed" and "adjustable" drooper mounts. Seems like the adjustable is the way to go but want to ask for your opinion first. I probably will buy two of them since I need to mount a scope on my Webley Vulcan also.

I use the Sun mount myself. NervousTrigger even made up a write up about installing and adjusting it. I don't know if it's the best but it is well thought out. I'll attach a chart so you can see the options.
The mount itself is designed and engineered by Sun, near Dallas. It is manufactured for them in China. If you elect to get them, drop me a line. There are a couple of things to watch out for and I don't know if Jason has incorporated them all into his instructions.

Thanks. Which model did you choose?

Yo Wolf...
What makes you think you need a drooper.
As yet I have not had an HW that was in need of a drooper mount. Not to say it can't happen , But I would be very surprised.
Get a good set of rings or one piece mount and shoot. See where it hits... I usually go about 15 clicks max .. If I can't get on target then I turn back the clickers and shim and go from there. But, if you have already mounted your scope and fired only to find you're 10" low at twenty yards....you may need some extra help.
Happy Shootin!

x2. I use a one piece Hawke mount adn Hawke Panorama on my R7 and have no problem with droop.

None of my HW's(30S,50S,57,95,77) have droop. Get some Burris Signature rings. If you have droop you can get the offset inserts.

Will the medium or high Sun mounts be needed for a 40mm objective? Do they have an integral post stop or is that something I need to acquire separately?

I went with a Hawke 4-12x40 and Sun Optics mounts for my HW30. The parts should be here next week I hope. In the meantime I have a Williams receiver sight to use.

I have needed droopers twice for both German guns and each have been fixed barrel!!!!

This, I think, is the thread you are referencing.

Duck says, you are over thinking it. Get a pair of tall rings, and center the elevation knob, if you need to raise the point of impact at 10 or 15 yds shim the back ring with a piece of 35 mm negative. Done

I am sort of hi-jacking this thread. I also have a HW30S and am wanting to scope it. I have a 4-12 Bush ell Banner to put on it. From what I read here most likely I will not need drooper mounts. I am thinking Burris Signature rings. High, medium, low? What do you think?
-
If you shoot off a bag and use the mil dots, then the lowest rings that will keep the scope off the barrel. If you shoot offhand and twist turrets then high mounts. You don't want your fat heavy head unbalancing you. Don't worry about droop. Read my above post.

Just a suggestion on what I have on my HW30S:
UTG 3-9x 32 AO Compact CQB Bug Buster IE Scope with Medium Picatinny Rings and 2-Inch Sunshade, Black
UTG 1" Quick-Detach Lever Lock Rings, Medium, 11mm, 4 Hex Screws Per Ring Cap

I also use on my Marlin 60 (22) Works great!
