Title: 392 rebuild improvements?
Post by: Archer97 on February 10, 2014, 02:18:55 PM
My trusty 392 is in need of a rebuild. Desperately. I get no power and everything feels loose when you pump it, its super accurate but if you don't have the punch you can't get very far. I think 90% of my problem is that the pivot link is so worn out that when it shifts its not pushing the piston down far enough? The video shows how much the link shifts on the pump arm. My other question is that will the pieces and parts in my cart from Mac1 possibly let my gun get to ten pumps with no issue? And are all the parts compatible with my gun? Also, do the rivets for the linkage require a special tool to install them? I have a regular pop rivet gun but that doesn't look like it will work. Sorry for my jumble of questions, and any advice is greatly appreciated.

here is the reason I had to get my Silver Streak rebuilt.  The hole in the pump lever was wallowed out and caused the pump rod to move up and down. :(  (http://i1278.photobucket.com/albums/y519/DD789USN/pumplever_zps6f69ad1d.jpg) (http://s1278.photobucket.com/user/DD789USN/media/pumplever_zps6f69ad1d.jpg.html)

Devin your question may be better answered in the Mac 1 Airguns vendors Gate.   Tim is the man when it comes to the Benji pumpers, and his parts. ;D

Ok thanks Bart and George I'll have to do that. I didn't know I could post to vendors.
