Title: Scope for trail np
Post by: affegiraffe on February 04, 2014, 03:26:02 PM
Hello!

Once again i need your help. I'm looking for a new scope (to replace my CP scope i use atm). For now it is going to be used for my trail np but i would like to be able to use it on other guns as well in the future. So i have browsed the web, read etc but i still would like to know your opinions on the topic. my budget is at 300$ no more than that, well at least in my fantasy ;)

I have thought about
Leapers UTG 6-24x56 AO Accushot SWAT
Hawke Sport Optics Eclipse 4-16x50 AO

I'm in no need of illumination though.

Cheers

You might check to see what Vortex Optics offers in your price range.  Try for something with AO and etched reticules.  Multi-coated lenses are good for cutting glare.  Vortex has really good products.  I think you'll generally find 40mm diameter is adequate for most purposes.

I have also been offered to buy a barely used Utg 6-24x56 accushot swat with attachable sunshade for $185. Could that be an option?

The Utg 6-24x56 Accushot is $280 new, so that would be good deal.

It is two years old so i think it is an older version since it doesn't have the angled sunshade "built in". Thumbs up or thumbs down?
Srry for being so needy.

Has it been sitting on a springer or a PCP?
A lot can happen to a scope in 2 years.

It was on a springer in the beginning but has mostly been collecting dust in his weaponlocker. Atleast thats what he says ^^.

I don't know about you, but I would get a brand new scope.
Then you'll know what you get.
