Feel free to mofify as it applies to you.
1. Find old airgun in closet and restore it to working condition
2. Set up range in garage and/or back yard
3. Discover GTA, Gunbroker, AA Classifieds, etc.
4. Buy another airgun (new or used)
5. Experiment with different pellets
6. Read everything you can find on your favorites
7. Browse Pyramid and Airgun Depot web sites
8. Loop on steps 4 through 7
9. Buy a gun cabinet
10. Start modifing or tuning airguns
11. Start selling airguns to make room for new ones
12. Start making wood stocks
13. Start having dreams about your "ultimate airgun"
14. Make up your Christmas airggun wish list in July
15. Start asking if you are addicted or just obsessed

Chinese New Year Resolutions?

Coming up with creative justifications to convince ourselves why we NEED another.......and another.....
Definitely addicted!!

Lets not forget about OPTICS .... O'lordy, 3 new scopes arrived just this week :o
-
Please let's NOT talk optics too!!! While waiting for a new Pro Sport to cross the pond Fed Ex made a few visits!!! New Sidewinder, BKL rings, a case and a bunch of pellets!! The rifle didn't leave England yet!!! I got it BAD!!!
-
funny stuff.
I needed a laugh right about now, (after realizing I just screwed up my buddies brand new Airhawk), and now I gotta pay to fix it.
No doubt it's gonna cost more to send it to mike and have him fix it,... than my buddy paid for it in the first place !
so tell me, when you guys screw up on something, does it make you feel,...
DUMBER THAN A BOX OF ROCKS too ?
-
Get another rifle, so I can shoot more, so I can buy more pellets, so I can have for pellet tin ornaments for the Christmas /Mardi Gras/Easter Tree.
-
;D ;D ;D If you use tools and tinker there will be such occasions :o
so tell me, when you guys screw up on something, does it make you feel,...

If I had unlimited funds I'd put you all to shame! ::) I'd have a house totally dedicated to hobbies, with just a bed, bathroom, microwave, and fridge. The rest would be rooms set up for a specific hobby in each one. Airguns, PBs, scale models, photography, scale trains. astronomy, computers...the list could be endless because I am sure there are hobbies yet to be discovered. Too bad it takes that cursed green stuff, and a lot of it, to realize dreams. Oh well... :-\
-
Buy a gun cabinet? nah I made my own gun rack in shop class
-
And you start gathering special tools and machinery so you can work on your airguns. Start reading machinist publications and forums.
-
Ole lord im in trouble, were going to have to start a group meeting lol
-
Between steps 10 and 11. Brought along 3 brothers, 2 nephews, 1 grand niece and only son. I'm like the typhoid Mary of airguns.

-
Step 16. Wake up in the middle of night and purchase a Airgun or Scope
-
I made it to step 10 in only three weeks. Does that mean there is no hope for me at all? I hate it when folks put stuff like this up and pin me so well. An I thought I was "different". "dang"......

I just added up what I spent this month on ARs, scope, and lots of pellets. I'm broke :(
PA is having the "free shipping sale" for purchases over $150. I now have 25,000 pellets most of which I've bought this month. Clearly I need help :-[ The good news-if I have $600 in pellets it would be $3000+for Wolf/SK .22LR if you could find them and what I don't shoot my son and granddaughter will inherit ;D
-
You guys rock! I will update the flow chart with your suggestions. Speaking of screwing up things, when I screw up something, I usually start working faster to try and fix it which usually causes me to screw up a couple more things, making whatever I was trying to fix now totally unuseable!
-

DUMBER THAN A BOX OF ROCKS too ?
Well, 1/2 the battle is acknowledging the screw up ... learning from it and moving along with task at hand.
My Signature line spells out my feelings on that one .... O'what an experience life is at times :o

DUMBER THAN A BOX OF ROCKS too
Is somebody calling/describing me ;D

No one mentioned: Finding creative ways to buy an air gun without the wife knowing.

;D I don't think that we want that info out in plain sight it's bad enough that the "WIFE" in most cases has esp and they are very good at hiding the fact that they are usually way smarter than us ;) ;D

Hmmmm, My wife usually flaunts the "way smarter than me" program. Of course being smarter than me is not such a big deal.
-
i've used the preemptive "make wife happy first, then buy what you want" approach, with 50% chance of success
-
Here's an age-old question: "If a man buys an airgun in the middle of the forest, will his wife still find out?"
-
I think the last step is coming up with a flow chart that shows how we ended up in this sorry mess! LOL!! I'm in the mess too.

Ditto for you. Well done guys.

;D In the last 7 months I scare me ;) ::) :o ;D

Could be worse. This addiction wont get you thrown in jail and you wont die from withdrawals but it sure would hurt. I started "collecting" Machine tools and shop equipment back in the late 90's and now I have a shop full of state of the art metal working machinery and at the rate I am going on Air Gunning, I will need another gun vault or maybe two in no time at all. I like to collect unique firearms like the 10/22 Ruger, and the Mossberg pump 410 shotgun so air guns will be right up the alley for me. Lately it cists too much for ammo if you can even find any, so I stocked up on what I could find and plan to keep it in storage till it is really needed.

Not exactly a flow chart, but this is as close as MIT and NASA could come to explaining what is happening to us here on the GTA..........................

Chuck in Ohio has it right. But Nasa left out the compacted swirl effect for the turbolator field in conjunction with the glomular mass particle exchange transducer. The field loosens the cash in the wallet so the turbolator can swirl it into Glomular exchange votices...and teleport it in AGD/PA numerical renumerator resevoir
Instant broke!!!!

Wait, what???? W O W ! ;D ;D

But this was "implied" by the chart. I saw it right away. :D :D

Thanks to Chuckinohio, I know understand what a "black hole" is. It not worthy in all your cash and spare time, and only occasionally spits out a few smashed pellets onto your garage floor!

Right, it is exactly like Alchemy, only the results are reversed.
You take perfectly good gold and turn it into scrap lead....... ???
I'm starting to think that we may be doing it wrong.
If Pyramyd posts a buy 4 pay for 3 free on magic beans, we'll know for sure that we fell for a scheme............

No one mentioned: Finding creative ways to buy an air gun without the wife knowing.
Ding! Ding! Ding! ;D
-
I now have 25 Air guns, and my wife had an unspoken prayer request for her husband at church. :o
Now I think I might find better deals on better guns as a result! ;)
Seriously I will have to start selling something someday, just not today. :-*
-
9. Check, made an airgun cabinet.
15. Take long break from airgun forums, websites, only to return come winter.
-
Keep searching for "BB Gun" on Craig's list because you are absolutely sure that someone, someday is going to clean out their uncle's closet and sell an FWB124 for $75.
-
Just because I have a machine shop dedicated to Air Guns, spend more time on my Air Guns, buy a new one every time I have the extra cash, modify all of my Multi pumps to perform as well as mid range PCPs, Spend much time shooting, design and make new pump tubes and valves, etc, design and make my own Air Conserving Pumpers, and have gotten at least 5 other people in to air gunning, and all of this with just recently getting back into Air Guns, does that mean that I am addicted???
-
;D ;D nope just dedicated to sharing the fun and creative to boot
