I've had some pretty good luck on Craigslist lately :D I paid $50 for this Racine Wis. 1972 Sheridan Blue Streak with a Williams peep. The picture makes it look pretty good but this is one sick old rifle. The guy I got it from bought it at a auction and just wanted to break even. It doesn't hold air at all and who knows what's inside of it? Anyway someone took the time to strip it down to the brass and start restoring it so I have my fingers crossed that the internal parts are all there and resealable. If not in the worst case I figure I can do pretty good parting it out. The sight alone should be worth $40. I have been getting some tools together so this is going to be my winter project.

The $25 rebuild kit from PA should do the trick, and is easy to put in, just try to keep the original lead valve seal in as good of shape as you can. I got my blue streak working with the kit, and my piston seal was usable, just had to get into the valve

I guess it helps when I attach the picture to the thread :o

Well, it looks like this old Sheridan is going to be a parts gun. It has a crack in the brass at the end of the pump tube along with other issues. I guess I'll have to find another gun and make two into one.

When I get some time I'll take some close up pictures and start a thread to see if Tim thinks he can save it.
