Title: 25 CAL CONDOR
Post by: CROSSWINDEW on January 21, 2014, 12:50:42 AM
ANYONE HAS PROBLEMS WITH THE 25 CAL CONDOR NOT ABLE TO KEEP A ZERO?.  I HAVE NOTICED THIS AT 50 YARDS AN EVEN AT 25 YARDS.   NO WIND. AN SAME PROBLEM.  AFTER HOW MANY SHOTS IS IT RECOMMENDED  TO CLEAN OUT THE BARREL?

SEEMS LIKE I NOTICE MORE PEOPLE HAVE WAY MORE ACCURACY WITH THE M RODS THAN THE CONDORS.  I EXPECTED A LOT BETTER ACCURACY FROM THE AAA CONDOR THAN I AM SEEING WITH IT.  WOULD LIKE TO KNOW OTHERS EXPERIENCES WITH THE STOCK 25 CONDOR AS WELL AS THE AAA CONDOR.  ALSO IF YOU HAVE ANY VIDEOS TO LINKS SHOWING GROUPS AT 50 AN 100 YARDS PLEASE SHARE.   THANKS

I would suggest that a 200 shot limit is reasonable until you develop good data to the contrary. I would also weigh in on the positive side of using bronze bristle brushes; you may have some dirt that is difficult to dislodge with oily patches alone. At least for  the preliminary experiments, a thorough cleaning will establish a proper baseline.
cheers,
Douglas

My MROD is more accurate (slightly) than my TalonP. I guess it is the nature of the beast. 90 yard targets are no problem for either one. If I had to make a choice between the two guns I would have to toss a coin for which one I would keep. They each have their advantages and disadvantages, as far as cleaning I only clean them when I first get them and then when accuracy drops off.

Hello ,i had a condor .25 stock and it was very accurate as i traded last dec,2013 the new owner still considers it very accurate and has both maruader and condor .25 a few people i have come around had accurate problems until they re did the mounting of the scope ,i truly recommend airforce self centering tri rail 11mm dovetail then try again cause i doubt its the seasoning of the barrel many ags without any cleaning has been accurate out the box however it has worked for many lol...purchase the tri rail then get back to this post ,im sure it will help ....jorge

I NOTICE HE USES AN GIVE REVIEWS ON ALOT OF THE TOP BRAND AIRGUNS.  AN I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW COME HE HASN'T EVER MENTIONED ANYTHING ABOUT THE AIRFORCE AIR GUNS??   PLEASE FILL ME IN IF ANYONE KNOWS OR HAS AN IDEA.

AF guns are accurate right of the box most of the time. Accuracy is usually not achieved at full power in my experience (if the pellet goes above 1000pfs ,accuracy will start suffering). You have to find the right pellet( try 43 eun jins, 35 eun jins and 25 jsb kings), power wheel, fill pressure , clean the barrel...
I do believe there are more people with marauders than condors on this forum. Stock condors by the way.

Ted has mentioned in one or two of his video's that he is a self admitted air gun snob and kinda likes the best. He has done a video or two of less expensive guns, the Ben. Discovery, the Ben. Trail springer, but he himself primarily shoots the nicest ones made and thus reviews the nicest ones made. This is not to say the AirForce guns aren't nice guns, they are just not what he prefers for himself and so he doesn't end up getting any to review. I think he puts quite a bit of time into using/breaking in the guns before he reviews them and between the time he spends with the guns he loves, plus his full time job, plus his wife and child, plus managing his blog and answering peoples questions, he doesn't get a lot of time left over to review the guns everyone else would like him to. Plus, I think he is sponsered by FX Airguns  8) This of course is just speculation based on what I've heard him say in his video's but I always try to put myself in someone else's shoes before I ask anything of them.

Kindest regards.

My .25 Condor SS is internally stock. I have no issues at all with accuracy. Matter of fact, I'm VERY happy with the accuracy. I have used mine consistently to take out European Starlings at 70 yards. I believe it all boils down to power setting and pellet selection.
As a side note, please turn off the caps lock. appears to some of us like you are shouting.
:)
Thanks for posting the question. It should get more responses from other owners.
SAFE & Happy Shooting!!!!

I bought mine off eBay for about 1/3 the price others are selling them for. Just that you will have about 2-3 week wait for it to come from China.
I have combined the two threads you started on Condor accuracy...and you still have your caps lock on shouting at us.
LOL

Actually, found one in the states that's still a LOT cheaper than most retailers.

My condor is .25 caliber stock and extremely accurate when paired at the correct power setting with the correct pellets. Like a few have already stated on this thread the gun is accurate outta the box from AF. This was my experience and almost everyone I have ever spoken too about these air rifles. Make sure your scope is set up correctly. Usually products from Anthony at Talon Tunes are of exceptional quality. I doubt he'd let an air gun out the door that didn't meet his own specifications. He tests all the guns he modifies and tunes. He like many of the folks who are in the airgun business get their business from their reputations and word of mouth. Like other have suggested on the thread I would take some time and break that gun in. It sounds like a scope problem if not that contact Anthony at Talon Tunes he stands behind all his products. Good luck.
