Title: First Gen XS60C trigger mod
Post by: Kailua on January 16, 2014, 03:41:28 PM
Just doing some tinkering and came up with this.
Second picture shows a first stage.
Third picture shows a second stage where it hits the spring loaded pin.
Fourth pictures shows a replaced spring tension screw with with a drilled out bolt with pin, spring and set screw within.
Also added a block for a trigger return spring held in with a set screw.
Probably could have used the stock trigger to try this mod but if it didn't work would be trigger less.
Haven't tried with gun put together but seem okay as is.
Thanks for looking.

Sorry first time posting pictures.  Had to have the kids help me out.  I guess it's clear to me because I know what I'm looking at.  Do me a favor and try Ctrl then + on your keyboard and see if that helps.  If it does on the second picture it shows the trigger to sear placement after cocking.  The third picture show the trigger hitting the spring loaded pin and where the trigger sits on the sear.  The so called second stage can be adjusted with the screw the pin sits in.  If the pictures are still unviewable will need to call the kids and try again.  thanks

Okay my daughter was nice enough to modify the original  pictures a little larger.

Mr. Kailua, is that the newer 60c trigger or did you find another trigger  that would work ? The trigger looks different  than the first 60c. The old 60c  trigger looks to be made in two pieces.

Mr. Kailua  just reread you original post, what trigger did you use instead of the original  to do the mood

I had some 1/4" plate to form the trigger block and the trigger blade was cut and formed from a piece of 12ga S/S welded to each other.  The original trigger is a little thinner than 1/4" but the new trigger blade thickness seems to work fine.   I could have probably modded the stock trigger but being an experiment and if it didn't work I would have been screwed. I had found that welding with a 6011 electrode makes good hardness at the main contact points.  So I had built up the contact point at the sear and ground and polished to fit.
