Has this person been banned from the forum ? When I type his name it morphs into gibberish.
-
Yep, I think so.

I think I read some place he was. I do not know why, but I am sure there was a reason. I have seen a few of his you tube clips. I try not to make judgements and always look for the good in people, because the bad will stick out like a sore thumb. :)

GTA is a non-sponsored airgun forum. We are supported strictly by its family members and vendor/members. We presently have close to 8,000 members and continue to grow by 10 or more new members daily. We are becoming a voice in the airgun market. We are proud to have manufacturers and distributors/vendors wanting to become a part of our growing group.
One of the things we do as a forum is support those that support us. With that in mind, and in keeping with GTA remaining a non-sponsored and member owned/managed forum, we offer vendors some unique benefits for supporting us. We set them up a special vendor gate where they can communicate directly with our members. We also set up links to their businesses in our Mall and some in our Library pages. MANY other forums charge for this service. GTA does not and will not, so we can remain non-sponsored and non-biased toward any manufacturer or distributor. We DO have a set of requirements each vendor must meet before we will consider supporting them with free space in our forum.
The main requirements for any vendor is to support us, the customer, and to exhibit ethical business practices. The dealer in question has failed to do any of these things. He has not shown any support of GTA forums and its members. The owner of our forum actually has evidence of price gouging. There have been some other instances we have proof of where unethical business practices were used by them against another member/vendor here that was just down right dirty. His efforts to eliminate competition to fix prices actually backfired. I believe the other vendor has come back stronger than ever. But we cannot and will not condone or support anyone doing business in this manner.
For that reason, this vendor was removed from the vendor gate, Mall, Library and GTA as a forum will not support their business. Each member of our family has the right to do business with whomever they please. But GTA as a forum will only support those that support us and do business in an ethical manner. For that reason, the name has been added to our censor list. We do not need nor want any discussion of said merchant.
But as I said, each member is free to choose whom they do business with.
I hope this answers your questions why your posts look the way they do.

I totally agree w/ Scott's post.I found out through personal experience,,,and they stopped shipping to Canada altogether >:(, for no good reason. It's a shame we can't let off a little steam, and call him some nasty thing's, but you all get the picture. A few yrs back I had tried to order a .177 barrel for my .22 QB-57, and they refused because they said it would turn the gun into a magnum spring-er. If It wasn't so funny, It probably would of made me mad, I had my cousin from Detroit order one, and bring it up to me on his next visit, want to know what the m/v was with the .177 barrel attached, w/ Gamo Raptors it barely broke 700fps, In .22 it was hitting pretty close to 600fps w/ 14.3gr Crosman Domes. What a HUGE difference,LOL,. Cheer's, Andy.

Thanks for clearing this up. This is the first time I have seen this. I did some business with this vendor before I knew. :( However I have switched over to FDAR since and am quite happy to direct my future business in that direction. ;D Mike is a great guy and I enjoyed talking to him about my Black Friday special. By the way, his 2078 blows the 2078A I bought from the 'other' guy away. I may at some point send the 'prodigal gun' to Mike for tuning 'salvation'. ;D

Thanks for all the information. I was totally unaware of this. I have bought two or three parts from him and one of the parts is in a pistol I am selling and I wondered why the name was scrambled. I'll cross him off my list.
