After acquiring my TX this past summer, the Marauder has been languishing in the gun rack with little use. After seeing Scott's (Motorhead) group the other day with his new LW barrel, I thought I might shoot a few mags with the Marauder. I apologize for using Crosman pellets but us retired types can only afford so much what, with the new health care bill and all. Off the bench with my Hawke 4-16X Eclipse. I started with 2650psi and ended with 1950psi. It took me two targets to settle into a good form: (http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q733/barnydaddy/925f8fa22eacdeacacbb7d163b3fd7e1_zps803ace18.jpg)

No stank in that kitchen :P
Nice groups from a factory barrel indeed !

I tried shooting my .25 Marauder this morning at 40 yards. We have a strong north wind and I was hitting 1-1.5 mil-dot to the right. It is coold for this warm blooded Texas and I could not shoot a group. I fired 3 shots and went in. LOL

Using my mentor's techniques.
Have a great year Scott.
See ya in the spring.
;)

Thanks frank ...
What I do see tho is a slight vertical stringing tendency on all the groups.
Generally this can be traced back to slight velocity variances shot to shot.
* A Regulator would fix that ( Especially in a Ft/ HFT rig as yours is used for ;) )

Too bad Texas will never legalize it. If I lived in Calli I could get a prescription.

In regards to the healthcare law, which is codified at 26 USC 5000A, it applies only to 'applicable individuals' which is another word for taxpayer, or someone having a tax liability. If you have no income and do not file a return, it does not apply to you, nor can it. I don't know what retired means these days, but i take retired to mean living off a nest egg with no additional income, therefore i am assuming 5000A mandate cannot apply to your circumstances. Just like car insurance requirement is predicated on the partaking of the activity of driving, the healthcare insurance mandate is predicated on you being a taxpayer--ie having a tax liability. Just an FYI.
Back on topic, those are some nice groups. When you shoot off the bench i am assuming you are using the bench with some sort of a soft rest on which you rest the front of the rifle correct?

Retired: USAF, FAA, VA 30% disablity (Agent Orange), SS, Wife SS.....Yep we pay taxes.
We both pay for Medicare Part B.
We do not pay for Medicare Part A
We do not pay for TRICARE for Life
After 42+ years of government service, I shouldn't have to!
California taxes government retirement.
OK?

Being ex service you can drop Medicare part B and save a few dollars and let the VA take care of you. You deserve it, and you paid for it with your service. I have been considering dropping part B, while I love my country, I find it hard to trust my government.
