Hey Guys,
I am expecting my first pcp rifle to be delivered on Tues. A .25 SynRod. Man am I excited! Any way I'm on Forum overload. :o The amount of information out there on the Maurader is staggering. I have always cleaned my new firearms before firing them. Would you recommend just cleaning the barrel only or further disassembly and cleaning. I realize that technically doing any disassembly will void the warranty, but I would rather start with a nice clean rifle. My spingers have always had manufacturing gunk in them. What about the SynRod? Any suggestions about anything else on a brand new rifle.
Thanks.

Clean it, you are going to void the warranty as soon as you start modding it anyway....

Thanks for the reply.
I want to eliminate the lawyer spring anyway. It will be tough to wait, but I want to do things right.

Generally, they are not too bad, other than the barrel may be full of gunk.

You would have chose well with the Marauder, in any caliber.
My friend just DROPPED (like a sack of cement) a coyote at 35 yards with the .25 caliber version.
Mod the *(&^ out of it. They are made to be customized.
GOOD CHOICE!

I would not clean anything other than the barrel until you have a couple hundred shots through it. If it seems to be functioning as designed, go ahead and start tinkering with it.
Always verify functionality before voiding warranty.

That's what I did. Cleaned the bore and started shooting. I did eliminate the lawyer spring. First impressions are good. Its quiet. Seems accurate on my 11 yard basement range. I don't think the pressure gauge is accurate. Its reading hunderds of pounds higher than the fill station. Tuning will have to wait anyway as my chrony has decided to stop working. :'( I think theres a problem w/ the infared lights.(Pro Digital)
Thanks for the replys.
