Hi folks, just a couple of pics of my latest purchase. I don't think I did too badly getting this '50s Cadet in fair used condition, along with a Westlake B2 of some description & the gun bag in the pic, for £90? :D

Sorry the pictures aren't great but my cameraphone is the only way I can upload for the moment. What does anyone reckon to her from what they can see? I'm happy anyway...

I have that same rifle. My grandad was stationed in England after the war. He bought it for my dad when they lived there. My dad was born in 1943 and went to live in England when he was little and started grade school there. Not sure how old my rifle is but the serial number is BA97839. Mine desperately needs to be re-blued. It's a great little rifle. I just went out and shot mine after reading this. No telling how many pellets have been shot out of that rifle. My dad and I both grew up shooting it. It was tied to my hip when I was a kid. Enjoy your new find.

Only just seen this reply, according to this http://www.airgunspares.com/store/content/87/BSA/ (http://www.airgunspares.com/store/content/87/BSA/) your gun will be a '47-'51 model ;)
I'm planning to enjoy thanks 8), after I rebuild her I'm tempted to go the route Gunner Al is going with his Mercury & either wall or case mount the gun for display (but I will probably shoot her on nice dry sunny days in the garden & maybe the odd club day since they're made for shooting after all :D )
Hope you manage to get yours sorted & looking nice again, always makes it more worthwhile having some history & sentimental value to something.
