Well, finally got around to unboxing my new HW98 in .22 caliber. This rifle is amazing to say the least! Light compared to my TX and 97KT. Balance of the rifle is perfect! I haven't fiddled with the butt plate or cheek piece yet. Too busy all day. Fired 2 pellets and wow! Minimal twang, less than my 97! Cocking the break barrel is super smooth, firing cycle short and sweet, rekord trigger premium as already known. This has got to be up there in the top sharpest looking springers out there, atleast for me!
I know I know! Pics or didn't happen! BTW I'm a noob at wooden stocks, so when I was waxing the TX, I used tissue paper (last time I do that :o) but nothing is wrong with its fishscaling! Just tissue paper I gotta get outta there :-[ And I sent my HW97kt off to get hot blued!

I have 14 different pellets for it to try and 2 more on the way. I will give it a fresh chrony tomorrow and out of the box accuracy test. Next up is a Vortek PG2. But that won't be for a long time my friends! I told my girlfriend I will calm down on airgun purchases! Just need rifle cases and a cabinet ;) Getting big locks on our house. Our dog which we had since a puppy is a 100+ lbs rotty/sharpei with a heck of a bark and scary to other people! To us he's our big baby though ;D
Enjoy the pics and I look forward to breaking in this beauty! Sad thing is... I haven't broken in my 97 or TX yet :o

Beauty Laz!!!! How sweet is that lock up scrunch at bottom of cocking stroke????? I love that sound!!
Enjoy bro!!

Premium Joe! So crisp! Can't wait for a shooting session tomorrow with it! You can see my poor Crosman Phantom & Benji Trail tucked in the corner :( They might never see the sunshine again! NVM lol My girlfriend still likes the Phantom the best because its the lightest ;D

I have a Fed-ex account, would be happy to have the TX shipped to my house for a very, very thorough test/evaluation ;D

Haha nice try Mike! My gov't sadly considers my airguns "firearms" ??? :o And don't worry, the 3 I recently aquired will get more than enough trigger time!

Very cool looking gun.

Nice looking rifle laz. Youv'e definatly been bitten by the air rifle bug. Is the barrel on that shrouded or something? Looks thick
-
Thanks guys! AG bug for sure. I hear it acts up a lot this time of year ;D Its a bull barrel. Just a weight to make more muzzle heavy. No baffles or anything. Just a souped up HW95.

V-Mach kit will make that beauty even better.

Thats what I hear Axelr! Thats what I plan too! Next year though. I went too crazy with airguns, scopes, kits, pellets etc this past month. I told my girlfriend last purchases will be barrel band swivels & slings for the rifles. Pretty them up even more!

Hey there, now that's a nice looking AG. I might add that I am really impressed with the tape holding the work bench together though. That's some good tape. ;D
-
Thanks Jay! Its a really awesome rifle! And don't ask why the tapes there Ray ??? ;D No clue!

This gun keeps getting better and better! Fired off atleast 200 H&N FTTs (its favourite) and it is grouping really awesome. Most groups covered by a dime and a lot of pellets same hole at 21 yards! I took it to my 45 yard range and was knocking down my 1"x1" clay targets. Had a blast today with the 98 ;D
