A while back I got a beeman p1 .22 at a fairly high discount.
I am unsatisfied with the fps in .22, as i get ragged holes, even at 8yds, with domed pellets. Match pellets punch better holes, but accuracy drops pretty fast at longer ranges.
I wanted to swap the barrel for a .177, but the only one I can find is from T.W. Chambers and Co. at https://www.gunspares.co.uk/products/24564/HW45/ (https://www.gunspares.co.uk/products/24564/HW45/) (part brl083).
My understanding is the HW45 and P1 are interchangeable. Can anyone confirm this before I send an order overseas?
One other weird thing about this gun, is although it is marked on the outside as a .22/5.5mm, it has the two cocking stages that are only supposed to be on the .177/.20...
Thanks in advance for the advice!

wimp----,
There is a person on this forum that does fine work on P17s. He can cut, chamber, and crown barrels. I would not hesitate to request is services. I have one of his well tuned P17s and it is a work of perfection. His tag is "stalwart", he has many posts in the Chinese forum and in Flying Dragon Air Rifle sub forum almost all have to do with P17 pistols.
