Picture of the feeder.. was shooting from 2nd floor of our house window to get the best down-angle and have it safe for the neighbors. This bird feeder is prime spot for the little buggers! I found two of them on the front feeder, so this chap decided to come back and forage for a bit more. Unfortunately for him, he met his maker. Looks by the shot that I got him right in the ear (nice clean kill). My main problem was the tree trunk (left of the feeder) was in the way where his body was, so I patiently waited for him to pop his head out just a bit more before taking the shot. I pull the trigger and he goes flying off the feeder, then a few helicopter tail spins and he's right dead.

Oh.. and it gets better! Open sites guys!
Yea, I can hardly wait to upgrade to a better AR (hopefully for Christmas).
P.S. That second rat didn't really get too scared, he was up and feeding again within a 1/2 hr. So, I tried to plug him, but he didn't get in site (was hiding behind the tree trunk).

Nice shot, wish I had some rats where I live, but sadly im in a generally rat free zone.
-
I don't think there is a generally rat free zone.
Unless you live at one of the poles. ;)
If you start baiting you'll see rats.

LOL that's exactly what I was thinking when I read that!!
LOL. I agree rats are everywhere. Even when you see one there are probably ten times that many you don't! LOL
Try some baiting with PB or PB and Nutella or birdseed and PB. Mix it up and see what happens.
