I am looking at getting a marauder in .177 to upgrade from the RWS 850 I have now. Just wondering if I could just swap out barrels, and have a dual caliber multishot PCP?
-
You can in fact swap barrels. You can order the few parts that you will need from Crosman. I'm sure one of the other members who's more knowledgeable on the subject will chime in and tell you exactly what you need to make the switch.

I know about the barrel swap, I am wondering about the tune. Can I swap calibers, and not have to adjust the tune?

Good question. I have no experience with the .177 version so I certainly can't answer, but once you make the swap it should only take one shot string over a chrony to show whether any changes are necessary. If I had to take a stab at it I'd guess that the .177 guns are set a little different than the .22's Sounds logical to me but like I said, I'm just guessing.

Besides the barrel what other parts are needed? I like this idea a lot. A multi caliber tack driver

Going off memory of what I have read online about these two guns...is that the internals are the same, valves, etc.
and that all you need for swap are
-Barrel/baffles...( or you could just use the.22s')
-breech Oring
-Bolt
-Magazine
so in theory yes...the tunes would be similar
