Title: !solved! On/Off Adapter with Gauge for Ninja 13 ci bottle needed
Post by: FNG54 on November 23, 2013, 11:54:51 PM
Got some belleville washers (.022,.032,.047) and shims (.010,.020,.030).
Removed the spring and 2-red shims and 1-silver shim from bonnet.
Installed 10-.032 i.e.  )()()()()(  washers and reassembled the bonnet. Wanting to get close to 1100 psi for a QB 79.

Ordered and installed the "AG1 On/Off Adapter with Gauge for Tippmann X7" by RAP4 onto bottle. And it will not seal. The threaded end is to short and will not go screw down on the bottle far enough. It works OK on a CO2 bottle. The CO2 bottle threads are shorter than the ones on the Ninja bottle and only has 1 O-ring. The Ninja has 2 O-rings and is longer than the CO2. The difference is about 1/16 +- a little.

So does anyone have the part number of a "On/Off Adapter with Gauge" that is sure to work with the Ninja? I would prefer to get it from Amazon because of the Prime shipping if possible.

Wish I could help you ! I also need to know for certain what unit (even w/out a guage) WILL work.
Thank you,
John

mac1airgunshop sells the Ninja Regulator and an On/Off Tank Valve without a gauge. If I did not need a gauge I would check his out.

I'm using an ag1 on/off adapter with gauge on my ninja qb setup. It works fine with no modifications on the bottle I have.

It looks like AG1 is a generic name. I have found listings of AG1 for different markers and made by different manufacturers.

The one I'm using does have a gauge on it and it has rap4 stamped on the side. I purchased it off eBay from dropzone paintball for around $25. They have them listed if you want to compare a picture to what you have.

I looked at the picture (on Ebay) and it looks just like mine. All the pictures I have found looks like mine. And they all look like the same picture. Amazon has a page of them for different applications and they all use the same picture. And the picture on Ebay looks like it has the same Copyright logo in the same place. So I can not tell which one I need to get.

The one I have is marked like yours. And from the bottom of the hexed shape (center section) to the bottom of the valve body measures between 36 and 37/64ths.

And thanks for your time!

I decided to replace the o-rings on the tank bonnet and all is well now. :-[

JTB530 sorry to have wasted your time and Thanks again!

Now I'll have go put on my special pointed hat for abit :-\

I installed a Rap4 on my Co2 bottle last week and it works fine. My Ninja 13ci bottle will be here Monday and I plan on using it with it.

Thanks

It took 5 tries with different shims and washers to get the psi close to 1100 but, it is steady at 1110 right now.

The main thing now is the weather is going to keep me from getting the chrony out till after Fri.

May get a couple shots at the target tomorrow.  ;)

Are you setting up a qb and if so what caliber? I bought my chrony last year and it was at least a month before i got a chance to try it out between weather and work eating up my daylight.

Had the QB 79 for about a year now. I got it from MM with the basic tune been using it with a 850 psi Ninja bottle. It was excellent as it was. I just decided to up the psi to ~1100 which is considered the safe max for a stock 79. I can change it back if needed.

Was averaging ~650 fps with CPHP's.

Mine does right around 800 with cphp's at 1100psi. My bottle came set a little hot at first. It was around 1250 and would lock the valve.

How is the accuracy with the CPHP's at 800? If the accuracy suffers I'll have to back it off or find a new pellet. And they are the only ones I can get locally.

All I can say for sure is it is far more accurate than open sights. I don't have a scope on it yet to really see what it can do but I wouldn't slow mine down any from what I've seen.

I see in your sig yours is a full tune. Mine will not be as hot as yours. I still have something to look forward to next week. ;D
