Title: Benjamin Trail NP All-Weather .22-Caliber Question
Post by: snakebite4767 on November 23, 2013, 10:00:43 AM
Everywhere I look, it list the weight of this gun as 8 lbs. Is that the weight of the gun alone...or the gun with the supplied scope attached?

How well do they shoot?

Weight is without scope.
The weight is in the stock, which is a solid hunka-chunka piece of composite. How well they shoot is the typical lottery pick. Some shoot well, some need work to get there, and some never get there. You definitely need to upgrade the trigger.

They are heavy but they do come standard with sling swivels , so add a sling , mine came with one , when you need to tote it around.
Also , I love my Trail NP AW. ;D

I took the Trail NP action out of my All Weather stock and put it in a TR77 stock. It makes a 7.5 lb gun with scope and feels very good when shouldered. Mine averages about 760 fps with CPHP's  and makes a great field gun for all day hunts.

Well it looks like the Hardwood stock is lighter than the Synthetic. The wood stock gun should come in at under 8 lbs with the scope. I'll keep an eye open for a deal on one.

Snake, I was on the phone with Crosman Thursday ordering a Trail NP barrel and muzzle tube to fit to my Nitro Venom Dusk and asked the price of the Trail wooden stock. If my memory is right, it's about $27.00 - $29.00, $4.00 flat shipping included. I hope this helps.
