Title: Oh, no... why did the 22889 conversion parts come TODAY?

My wife is never going to let me work on the build!

.177 steel breech and 24" Disco barrel came, today.

Now I see why some Disco owners have so-so accuracy: That barrel is UGLY! I can see a nick in the crown, with the naked eye, and the rifling looks kinda' yuck. I'll definitely have to recrown, and I'll toss some pellets through to see if the barrel will be OK simply with some leading, or if it needs to have some abrasive run through.

In the meantime, I'll break down the 2289 for a clean and polish...

Mannnn... we shoulda' thought of that a long time ago... it's "date night", tonight, so I'm roped down.
