Title: difficulty removing Pneuma (AT44) barrel
Post by: wasatch on November 04, 2013, 02:47:08 PM
After loosening the two set screws under the rear sight I am unable to feel even the slightest bit of movement in the barrel when I try to twist it or pull it out.  I want to clean up the breech and transfer port.

Any suggestions?

I haven't taken my set screws all the way out but they were backed out such that only a thread or two were still in the breech block and there wasn't a bit of wiggle in the barrel.

Absolutely no movement pulling or twisting the barrel.

Considering its steel inserted into aluminum I'm wondering which would be better, heat it or freeze it to take advantage of dissimilar expansion (or contraction) rates.

Or maybe it has been loctited. In which case heat would be appropriate. But how much... hair dryer or propane torch?
