LW barrel, wood grips, Williams peep sight and long breech.
1st experience with the custom shop so I'm curious how it turns out. I like my 1701P a great deal.
Any other suggestions, folks?
Pellets or other mods to consider?
-
congrats on the 2300
oh the list is long on mods. if you want to keep using the 12g co2 carts, a boss valve and extended probe will help with pellet speeds.
-
Good luck with the 2300, and hoping you like it, tk

Have been looking at one of these for a while and am getting closer to putting down the $.
Can you tell me what the advantage would be to use the long breech vs the short breech? I assume it comes with a plastic one unless otherwise specified?
Thanks

Congrats! I had a VERY good experience with the Custom Shop... Now, the agonizing wait...

Really? I haven't checked (because I wanted one) but I thought it was mandatory to get either the long or short breech... I figured that the short breech was light weight and a shorter barrel is preferred to be used with it... I think the longer breeches are a more stable base for long barrels... That's what I thought anyway... I was tempted to get a pistol because the short breech was different but I went the 2400kt carbine direction instead..

You should really enjoy the pistol you've ordered. Have fun with your new purchase.

I have the same pistol in .177. I believe you'll be very satisfied with the accuracy right out of the box. Let us know how the peep sight works for you. I have an optical sight on mine with a notch iron sight as a backup.

I have the optical sight on my 1701P....it works quite well...and wanted to try the peep sight. Don't have much experience with them and thought this would be a good way to try it out.
The long breech is steel and adds weight; which may or may not be a good thing depending on overall balance (I have barrel weights on an FWB pump that is great for stability; but the weight of a scope on a modified Crosman Mark II was too much for me to comfortably shoot). The advantage of the long breech is the longer rail for mounting a scope.
I'm not that crazy about CO2, preferring PCP....but liked what I had read.

Congrats on the new 2300KT. I also have that same set up you are going to love it.

How long did you all have to wait to receive yours?
I'm hoping to receive mine before it gets too cold to shoot it....which might be an unrealistic expectation.

Took a little over 3 weeks, some have reported receiving sooner. Depends on what parts Crosman has in stock at time of build and what one ordered on pistol.

Yep... Mine took a little over 3 weeks also but it seemed like longer...
