Since my Newish TX is out of service till my new scope arrives, I need to push my beloved R10 back into service. The trigger is all good except it feels sticky when it is cold. After it has shot 5 or so rounds it starts to feel right. Upon examination the lub has dried and has become waxy. Any tips on cleaning? I thought just spray with Rem lube, but I know some you the bros on the GTA will have advise, don't want to flub up.

Do it outside ... place trigger group in a shallow dish of simple gasoline for a couple minuets, Air off off and repeat a couple times.
* Don't loose the LARGE hollow pins, they will fall out !
After done apply light oil on pivot points and some moly on contact areas.
Poor mans trigger job ....

Then I use a lttle moly on contact points.

That question makes no sense ???
Trigger group off barrel ?
-
well their should be 2 pins, push out the 1 at the top by the barrel first then push out the 1 back by the safety but leave the punch in there! then put your thumb on the safety button then remove the punch pull out the trigger group then release the safety button! their a spring under the button you don't want to have fly out! ;D :P
-
LOL!!!! good one Scott! ;D :P

Indeed ... we assume if your taking guns apart a basic understanding of visual clues in how things are held together is a given ... So I digress in that assumption.
Yup, Rear housing holds the trigger group via 2 cross pins. These are a light interference fit easily pressed out with a straight pin punch. * Note different lengths and location.
As marks states, WATCH the safety plunger and spring !
Assembling you MUST PRE-COCK and triggers Main catch and Sear manually before placing it back into rear housing. Safety & spring in first, place trigger group in and set rear pin first then front.
* trip trigger once assembled before cocking .... Wala easy peezy ;)

Decided to go without any suggestions. Used goo gone, q-tips, and toothpicks. Seems to be much better. Will be sighting in scope on Monday, will probably also adjust trigger if needed then too.
