Hi guys....Just got my 2240KT from crossman, Id like to add a power adjuster to it but i read on the forums that this dosent add power just regulates the co2 as to how much you want to use , but others say it does so im kinda on the fence Im looking at the small brass one from GMAC + the power hammer spring, Im sure this topic has been done to death, but some thoughts would be great thanx . 8)

Regulation of Co2 from a powerlet is pretty tough. If liquid co2 passes threw the reg, it expands on the other side as a gas.
Consistency is still going to waiver.
Personally would ONLY use a Regulator with HPA .... this JMO

I had a regulator on my 2240 and finally took it off. I don't have a chronograph so can't give any numbers but, as far as I could tell, it really did nothing useful other than adding a bit of bling to the back of the gun (it was chromed). Personally, I wouldn't waste the money; there are lots of other mods that can be done with that money.

all the power adjuster does on the 2400kt- 2240 is adjust the spring pressure on the hammer. I have run mine through the crony so many times trying to get it adjusted thati was sometimes frustrating. very slight turns made huge differences at times. outside temperature effects co2 allot. the power adjuster just doesn't regulate co2 though. in my opinion the power adjuster on a stock 2400kt does little. on my gun if my memory is right it was like 15 fps.
