Well,
I have this .177 Marauder that has a pattern of a shotgun LOL and I have a new barrel from Jim Gaska on order but that will probably be a while so I am going to do a little experiment. I just ordered a .17 (4.5mm) caliber barrel liner from Brownells. I also ordered a counterbore with a 1/4" head for it. I have some 3/4" x 36"L aluminum with a 1/4" hole down the middle sitting in the basement so I thought, what the heck. I'll braze a rod extension on the counterbore and set up the aluminum in the lathe and run it through and glue in the liner. The absolute worst that can happen is it is as accurate as it is now and who knows, it may end up working. I'll let you guys know what happens.

That depends on your definition of bad. If a 1 1/2" group at 35 feet is good, than no, the barrel is not bad. LOL Just kidding you...but yes it has 1 1/2" flyers @ 35 feet.
