Title: Crosman Silhouette Grips
Post by: fromsfca on October 18, 2013, 04:44:35 PM
Howdy,

I just received the Crosman silhouette 1701p..great gun...but I don't like the grips.

Does anyone know of a source for replacement grips that would fit the gun?

Thanks in advance, Anthony

I believe RB grips has them, anything that will fit a Crosman 1377, 1322, or 2240 will fit your 1701P

Thanks,
I emailed him...but thought I would check and see if there were other sources as well.

Very nice....I wasn't thinking of the barrel grip.

Do you find that adds better handling?

I shoot Thompson/Center pistols too. You use the front grip when shooting them. Also it protects the gauge. IMHO

I had reached out Ralph at RBgrips..unfortunately, he is recovering from medical attention. Had originally thought he would be back in business in Nov...but has had to extend his time away.

I could have waited a few weeks, but did not want to lose the warm weather remaining.

I ended up purchasing from a vendor who is no longer welcome on the board (don't know why, none of my business)...but this vendor provided the grips I was looking for; they fit well, good workmanship and feel better in the hand (actually fit better than the stock plastic grips). Service was excellent..I received the grips 3 business days from placing the order.

Just saying....

How about Steve Corcoran?

Frankly...it was easier to order from the guy I did order from.
He had an online site, you add to cart, pay via PayPal and 3 days later you have a delivery.

For me convenience is important...between two holding down jobs, volunteer work...and motorcycling...convenience is pretty important.

Well,
That is good.
Ralph takes 3 weeks.

I would have waited the 3 weeks for Ralph...but it sounded like he wouldn't even start taking orders for awhile.

He had told me he might be able to fix me up with something, then he went into radio silence, so I just figured that wasn't a viable option.
