Title: looking for an expert on the T06 trigger
Post by: chet on October 18, 2013, 11:36:54 AM
Having a new RWS D 34 for at least 2 months now, trying to figure out the t06 trigger better, I wanted to join the Diana Collective group to get info there but it keeps telling me name is in use, well that was a waste trying to join that board, maybe some one here has been around the t06 trigger too, question is when i get my trigger set to how i like it, it is near the end of it travel all the way back, is there a way to accomplish this same setting more in the center of the travel rather then all the way back. the screw towards the muzzle is all the way in. that seems to be the best for me, got rid of all the creep ect. but i would feel more comfortable shooting the t06 trigger in the center area of the pull. i read somewhere where a guy said to grind off 1mm off one of the screws i don't see that working, in fact it sounds like it will be worse.

I deepen the forward screw counterbore @ .040" to allow you taking up more creap once on the second stage break point.
Sadly TO-6 triggers are weird in the fact you don't seem to be able too reduce 1st stage travel WITHOUT screwing up the setting and correct function of the auto safety.

You can with the screw mod get a VERY crisp minimal movement 2nd stage break, but the LONG 1st stage will still be present.

This is what i have found doing them ... others results may differ ???

I haven't touched mine it came out the box sweet to me.when I pull the
Light first stage it seems like it's on the verge of being heavier than the second.
I aways tickle through the first stage till I feel the secound very cautiously
Then I know one light squeeeeze and bonk!
