I've been thinking about getting one for residential squirrel control. According to the specs on PA, they have the power, and the gas piston is nice, especially for $99. But I can't seem to find any reviews online. Just wondering about the trigger and fps/fpe with standard 7.8 grain lead pellets.
The other rifle I am seriously considering is the RWS 34. But it's almost three times the price of the Vantage, so it'd be nice if I could find someone who owns one to let me know if it's a decent airgun for shooting tree rats.

David, it would undoubtedly do a number on squirrels if you can hit them. If you look it up on Amazon you will find reviews. The scope may be less than stellar. Being a Crosman, the trigger is probably a bit stiff. Both situations can be fixed. All you need is time and money. Good luck!!
