Title: Looking for best pellet for .177 Disco
Post by: tracker1955 on October 12, 2013, 12:23:01 PM
Hi all. have been shooting my new disco for about a month and am looking for the most accurate pellet. Have tried cphp, gamo hunter, rws super domes, winchester domes and jsb exact heavy. So far the jsb exact heavies have produced the best groups, but there is still room for improvement. Would like to try Air Arms domed and jsb exact monsters next but am open to suggestions. If you have a pellet that shoots really well out of your Disco let me know what it is, I will try it as well.

JSB 10.3 exacts & AA heavy 10.3 are for the most part the same pellet.  BOTH generally do VERY WELL in the Benjamin PCP rifles.

H&N Barracuda 10.5 another one that shoots quite well. ( 4.52 / 4.53 size most likely )

H&N FTT in same size Scott listed. https://www.pyramydair.com/product/h-n-field-target-trophy-177-cal-8-64-grains-domed-500ct?p=33 (https://www.pyramydair.com/product/h-n-field-target-trophy-177-cal-8-64-grains-domed-500ct?p=33)

In my case they group better than the H&N Baracudas but yrmv.

mine loves the crosman heavies 10.5. It is set up at 11.3 fpe and will stack them under a penny at 45 yards from the bench. I also have used it for hunting squirrels and the farthest lights out shot has been 52 yards. stick to heavies.

My groups with 5.53mm FTT pellets are 9/16" at 35yds but they are larger at 7/8" with the heavy Baracudas of that diameter and those of another size as well. It will just depend on what your barrel prefers.
