Title: Crown on my M4-177
Post by: Spankys Monkey on October 06, 2013, 06:16:10 PM
So how do I go about fixing the crown on this rifle?

Lots of "how to" info on here and on youtube. You'll need access to the end of the barrel so the shroud or whatever you've got on the end there looks like it'll have to come off. Once you can get to the muzzle you'll want to cut/file/grind it flat and then probably use the "brass screw" method to put on a new crown.

Good eye, fixing that should help your accuracy a little...

everything i find relates to fire arms and these one off job deals are expensive and don't list a price for .177 calibers.

Nothing wrong with firearm related info when it comes to crowning a barrel. This video should give you most of what you need to know and if you search this "gate" of the forums you'll find several threads talking about methods and tips. Assuming you've got a drill and a file this whole thing shouldn't cost you more than $10, tops.
