Title: Problem with a Hawke Sport-HD IR #HK3017
Post by: saddletramp on October 06, 2013, 05:25:52 PM
This scope is on a RWS 34p and I bought it as a package deal from Airgundepot..   Anway I was shooting it yesterday and after a shot I noticed the crosshair was tilted to the left. I thought the scope moved it the mounts so looked and the scope was straight but the crosshair was in deed tilted to the left inside the scope.. I've never had this happen b4 so can anyone help me...I bought the package in 12/2012 of last year and Airgundepot has a 30 day warranty I believe.. Any thoughts, I haven't done anything yet.....tnx in advance...Pete

PS.  the scope is Hawke Sport-HD 3-9x50 AO IR

Contact Hawke.  I believe theirs is a lifetime warranty.

Rotated retcile is a common failure.  I had 2 Eclipse 30s roll over very quickly. The third has been on the gun for 2 years and several thousand rounds.  It seems if they (all airgun rated scopes) make it past the fist week then you can exhale and get to business.

Call Hawke and talk with Mike...He'll take care of you.

FYI: cheapest and fastest way to ship a scope from CA is USPS Medium "flat rate" box.

Thanks for the help, I did send them off an email, and got a reply the next day. Mike told me to box it up and send it in with the reason and my address. Said if it's not fixable then they'll send me a replacement with another model because mine was no longer made.. That's the first scope to do this so it was a"wonder what I did wrong kind of thought"..  Hawke sounds like a good company to deal with so far.....tnx for the replies....
