Title: Vantage NP
Post by: krimmie on October 02, 2013, 10:38:17 PM
I recently bought a Vantage NP which I am very happy with so far.  I read that one could buy a .22 cal. barrel from Crosman for this gun...well not actually for this gun, the author said the Titan and Venom were basically the same gun with different stocks.  I visited the Crosman site, but didn't see barrels for sale there.  Is this something you must order via phone?  Is it correct that a Venom or Titan barrel would fit the vantage?  Thanks for any clarification on this.

Welcome to the GTA, Krimmie.  You have to go to the manuals on the Crosman site to get parts breakdowns.  For instance, if you look up the part number for the .22 barrel and the .177 barrel for a Nitro Venom and then get the part number for the .177 barrel on your gun and they are the same, then the Venom .22 barrel will fit your gun as well.

I don't think Crosman will outright tell you the substitution can be made.  You will probably have to dig up the info yourself.

To order parts you have to call the 800 number you'll find listed in the parts breakdowns. Don't worry if it says "parts not available from Crosman" or is there isn't a manual for your gun, you just need to dig more for the most part.

Since it looks like your EVP (parts manual) actually isn't available I looked at the Remington Vantage (linked below) which is almost certainly the same gun, at least as far as we care about, and looked at the PN# for the Break Bolt which is B19-2-00-2. It's a good bet that any other Crosman/Remington/Benjamin gun that uses the same Break Bolt has a barrel you can use. It's a good guide anyway although I'm sure there are exceptions.

Hi krimmie, was glad to see another Vantage NP user on here; I am on my second one and i like them a lot . My first one tore up after about 3000 rounds and Crosman sent me a new one. The Crosman folks say that this gun should last between 10K and 25K shots. So far I have found them to be very accurate, especially with the GRT III trigger from Charlie Da Tuna. His triggers are easy to install and make a world of difference. Let me know how you like it as you shoot it more.
