Hey gang! It somehow happened recently, my 33 year old Beeman branded HW77 breach seal is toast. Looks like physical damage to me, like one of my teen's friends messed it up maybe. Either way it is no major loss at it is the factory original 33 year old seal and needed replacement anyway. So with this in mind and knowing this fine rifle has unfortunately been stored for over half it's life and really deserves a complete makeover and my thoughts of course turn to these Vortek kits. My problem is I have no air smithing skills at all and would never attempt such a project. I would like to find someone who basically can give this old girl a work-over including installing a high energy Vortek kit, complete cleaning and re-lubrication or the entire rifle and smooth out my trigger a bit (it has a slight ruff spot). If this pans out I may even treat this old girl to a new much better scope to take advantage of this improvement.
Who can do this for me folks? I would like reasonable pricing but my first concern is quality of course and results. There are a few dealers / air smiths listed on the Vortek site but who of these guys should I use?
Thanks folks for the advise!

I could hook you up ... but being on the west coast, not real cost effective due to shipping.

Give John in PA a call. Tell him Fang sent you.
33 years old I can see why it is toast and yes the old girl needs a refreshing.

Paul Watts! ;) :P

Thanks a ton gang! Right after my dark side PCP purchase this year I'm getting this done ASAP. If I like it as much as I suspect I may get my TX200 done also.

David may well have been the one who pulled it from the box at Beeman 33 years ago likely has parts and a decent 6 weeks max turn around. Still a shipping tho. Naturally Paul is great and really custom (including making parts..) tuning angain he would be another in TN.
Do save it!
And um, wheres the pics?
John
Ok, John...I do have these on the pic thread here but here ya' go....old school 25mm compression tube Beeman branded Weihrauch HW77 built around 1981 from the SN I'm guessing. Bought her around then:

David is here in Tennessee, I will look him up...thank you.

That's a great rifle you have there! My 77 is also a similar age. Up until earlier this year, it had all the original parts which is amazing for giving 30 years of service. I went with the Vortek kit and did the cleaning, re-lube and kit install myself as my first airgun project. With the guidance and encouragement of the great folks on this forum, I got it done quite painlessly. That old HW77 was a pleasure to shoot then, and with the new kit, it's a pleasure to shoot now as well. I just love it!
Once you get your 77 relubed and tuned up, you'll have a big smile on your face when you shoot it. :)
