Title: Diana 460 .177 orTX 200 MKIII .22
Post by: Sfttailrdr46 on September 05, 2013, 07:49:36 PM
Just a quick question, the 460 un tuned approx 2,000 pellets down range or TX 200 purchased used, which would be the better rifle both are nail driver accurate, I have been back into shooting after a 15 year layoff and am planning to go to the meets in Ridge NY in Sept and October  to get my feet wet again in competitive shooting

Likely if doing FT or HFT the 460 may be TOO POWERFUL being above the 20# power limit ? ... Know 22's make 24-26#, not sure on .177 cals tho ?
.
As to precision, mechanics and shot cycle ... TX all the way !!

ok then is the TX in .22 still going to be competitive or should I just bite the pellet  ;D little pun and jump into the deep end of the pool and get another TX in .177 also another  Eclipse scope 8 X 24 X 50.  Like I need an excuse to buy another pellet rifle. shades of PaloneJ ;D ;D ;D

In .22 cal, if your guns accurate with the light 13.4 weights ..... Shoot it !!
Trajectory a tad lumpier than a .177 cal ... but does buck the wind better.

Why not shoot one month with one and switch the next month?  That way they won't get jealous.

Thanks wanted another rifle and Pro Sport was next on my want list since it looks like an excellent choice for production class springer. I've been wanting to get back into competitive shooting since I hooked myself with the Whisper a few months back.

I want the Pro Sport myself, that is one sweet rifle... trouble is finding one in a lefty stock.

It was my sons Gamo CFR underlever rifle that pulled me back into air rifles...
