Had our monthly FT match at the Heflin, AL range yesterday. Just a bit warm and humid and not a lick of breeze until the last lane. Was the first time I've been able to make it to a shoot in four months and was the first shoot in 3 years with a springer. Got to finally work the kinks out of my TX200HC on a real course. I was confident in my clicks up to 30 yards, but was completely trusting the Chairgun numbers past that.
Finished the day just under 50% and was actually pretty happy with that. The Heflin course is heavy on shots in the 35 to 55 yards range and with a 12fpe springer even on a calm day those are a challenge. Really need to work on my numbers from 45-55.
Got 27 days to get things worked out for the Georgia State 2-Day Match Sept 28-29. For anyone interested in making the trip to Georgia the registration info can be found here http://www.aafta.org/ (http://www.aafta.org/). I'm sure Walt will have an interesting course ready for those brave enough to show up. Hey the Ga/Bama stateline is really nice the end of Sept.
