Title: 1399 Stock Insert

I am looking to add a wood stock insert to my 1377 mod project.  I can't seem to find any pictures of what these look like or how they are installed in the 1399 stock.  My guess is a stable piece of plywood as the core with some thinner veneers.

Any direction or pictures would be appreciated.
