Title: Mongolian Mouse
Post by: erdenetello on August 27, 2013, 11:09:36 PM
Hi Guys. I think I'm the only Mongolian member here. So I thought I have to show some mongolian animals be it pests or game animals. I ordered Benjamin Titan GP .22 last year and took down variety of pests and some game birds. This year my yard starts have 2 species of rodents. this one is bigger. I don't know the exact name of this animal but big mouse with no tails will describe.  ;)

I cut the barrel, installed washer in the trigger and put UTG optics on my Titan GP. My breech seal is almost finished. don't know where to buy one. if you have any idea, please support the fellow member in Mongolia. :-)

A welcome here from TX directly opposite on the globe from Tibet. ;)

Neat looking mouse you have there. Almost looks like our rabbits here.

From the other side of the world a very big welcome. You must be the only member from Mongolia. It must be difficult to get airgun supplies over there and the cost must be pretty high.  Do you have a variety of game to hunt or is it limited just to pests?

Welcome, and great shot!

Might as well look at all seals, while you're at it: I know some folks, here, can turn piston seals, so they'd be able to tell you how to do that.

As far as getting a breech seal, I think scrounging might work! Seriously. Keep an eye out for o-rings that might fit the space on the breech, and experiment. We're lucky enough to be able to find most of those at a local hardware store, but I think you'll still be able to make it work. Also, if your seal isn't cracked, crushed or damaged in any other way, you can shim it with floss or other thread underneath it if you're getting escape.

Ulaanbaatar is large modern city so I'll think you will find what you are looking for.

Looks a lot like the varmint in your avatar minus the tail.
I don't know much about Mongolia today, but I've always had an interest in ancient history and Genghis Khan was THE man in the late 1100's early 1200's (then his boys and grandkids did OK too).
