Title: Hw 45 good ,bad ,rough?
Post by: k-man on August 25, 2013, 09:10:18 PM
Hey everyone , im considering picking up a new hw45 and was wondering if anyone here has anewer model. Does it have the weihrauch. "twang"? My 95 sounded like a banjo before i put a vortek tune in it. Is the 45 good enough without a$200 tune. It seems the price we for these guns they shouldn't need xtra work. Thanks.   K-man

I bought mine new in .177 about 6 months ago.

It remains in stock condition and I have put thousands of pellets through the gun.  Never opened. All I have done is apply a bit of moly to the sliders and spring.

Mine has no twang and is very accurate.  The hw45 is a plinkers dream. Loads of fun.

The power is impressive too. Mine shoots at 4.8-5.0fpe depending on the pellet.

My only complaint is that the gun is loud. With 7.3gr JSBs, it really emits a sharp crack.

Good luck.

Nice pistol. Got mine used in .177. Take some time learning it and you will find it rewarding, tk
