Title: You know what really grinds my gears?
Post by: RedFeather on December 01, 2010, 05:30:59 PM
When I take the time to make a thoughtful, highly informative reply to a post, edit it carefully, revise, rethink, recompose and then, after submitting, finding the thread has been locked.  Ooooo, that really grinds my gears!   :D

Yessir, it was that bad apple, above us.  Has the pain subsided yet, Lillysdad?  I was going to say it's life on the internet.  Nothing like following auctions only to have the dealers and big spenders ambush at the last possible minute, too.  Just do like I do.  Turn on the pc, pour yourself a stiff one and reach for the anal suppository.  Time to cruise the classifieds!

Lillysdad, I forgot to mention my personal rant.  Don't know if you follow powder burners but the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) sold off a ton of surplus .22 military trainers a few years ago.  The idea was to promote shooting and make them affordable to people who were actively engaged in shooting programs/clubs.  Go into any gun show and you will see those same trainers at three times the sales price on the tables of dealers who bought them up by the armfuls.  That, to me, was absolutely shameless.
