Anywhere particular you guys would shop for HW guns? Not everyone has them.
-
According to the people at Straight Shooters, HW is at least 10 months behind in its shipments.
SShooters and Pyramid Air do carry some HW guns and more HW's under the Beeman label. Airguns of Arizona carries HW's as well. I've bought HW's from all three. I've also bought HW's from Specialty Shooting Sports Outdoors. They are located in Canada but ship from the USA as well. I don't think any of the four have much HW stock left at the moment.
Specialty Shooting's prices are a bit lower than the other three, especially when the exchange rates are in favor of the US dollar. Their shipping cost are the usual USPS rates.
I currently shop at all but Airguns of Arizona. They didn't respond to my email inquiries about items ordered that turned to be out of inventory.

I've found that AOA has the best selection of HW guns at good prices with free shipping. I've ordered 2 from them, a 98 and a beech thumbhole SS look 97. They're the only show in town with that particular 97 in stock. Although communication isn't the greatest from them, I've had no problems. I never e mailed them tho, always called. Also ordered a 56 TH.
Maybe I got lucky with them. They aren't as good as PA, but I have no complaints.

PA is hard to beat but I had no problems with SS and AOA.
-
I have only had dealings with pa and I have had excellent treatment from them

I bought an HW 100 from SS....it leaked from day one...I was told to keep shooting it, that it would fix itself (huh?!)....it didn't...they wouldn't take it back, referring me to the manufacturer's warranty. Apparently they've never heard of the laws of merchantability. Pyramyd would have emailed me a pre-paid shipping label and sent a new gun, no questions. I had other problems with SS--I no longer deal with them.
SS is great to deal with as long as you don't have any problems with the gun.
Pyramyd can't be beat with their customer service.

I bought my HW95 Luxus (.22) from AOA. They had the best price that I could find.. AND.... they actually had the gun. I have sent them a couple of emails, and they have never answered either one of them. I have sat on the phone until my cloths went out of style before they got to me.. however, once I got someone they were in no hurry to move on and stayed with me until I was done. I am 99% convinced that the New HW95 Luxus that they send me was NOT a new gun... It had a lot of grim in the checkering on the pistol grip and on the Forstock. There was a good deal of dirt in the rubber Butt stock grooves. And there was a good deal of lead that I removed from the barrel. The Front sight fell off after about 50 shots, and revealed that someone had been filling on the underside. The screws were very loose.
After cleaning everything up... the gun did indeed look new.. there was no visible dings or scratches, and the gun shoots like a DREAM. I call them and ask if the gun they shipped me was new, and they said it might have been a "Display" Gun, but it was new, and besides, he said, we guarantee the gun for life. Hummm? O-Well..... the bottom line is that I am thrilled with the gun, but will give consideration before buying from them again.

Happy to hear you're enjoying the 95....the luxus is certainly a looker.
BTW: for the reason you mentioned= Used gun......I will no longer do any business with AOA....they pulled that one on me and I called em on it, Hard.
They copt to it and it was a PIB to get a new gun out of them.

Purchased stalker 7/30 and had problems, called them yesterday and they had a RMA number emailed to me within the hour. It goes back Monday. I will be ordering a new gun and probably from Pyramid.

just got my HW50s in .177 from PA. Got 10% off during Mem.Day sale. Well worth the wait.

AoA has some good prices on HWs, especially with the free shipping.
Unfortunately, my experience is similar to those mentioned here. Very slow (lack of?) customer service...but IF you can get a hold of someone, they will patiently answer any questions/issues.
I, too, have noticed that they seem to carry older stock on many items (such as T05 RWS Rifles) whereas most places like PA do not (or maybe just higher inventory turnover compared to AoA).

Thanks for the input guys. A little surprised though. I got my HW30S from AoA and it came packed excellent and timely. I talked to a lot of folks while shopping.
Airgun Depot seemed to have very little product knowledge, like just reading from their own web site.
Pyramyd was for sure better, but they were still selling the Benji 392 as a good American made gun, and had less info on other things.
AoA warned me off the 392, and I am glad they did, and they seemed to have the best over-all knowledge. Not the easiest to get ahold of, but once I did they would spend a lot of time if needed to answer all my questions.
-
Hey Marc!!! Congrats on the new gun!!! How do you like it???
My experiences with them mirrored yours. 20 mins on hold, but when Shane or Jared took care of me they took their time, answered all my questions and I was satisfied. Just ordered my 3rd gun from them and have had no issues with any of them........I did specify I wanted new in the box. Ordered a 56 TH, an HW 98 and a beech thumbhole HW 97 with SS look. They had all of them in stock and at good prices.

Thanks Joe! The more I shoot that little 30S, it's like it's shooting itself, because I don't think I can shoot that good.
Mine is in .22 cal., which most folks shy from in this gun. I have been shooting H & N FTT or Baracuda Greens, and they are pretty zippy, and very accurate. I am really thinking this may be all the gun I need for targets and squirrels and bunnies to 25 yards.
I know that it's possible to have not good experiences with any company. But the guys at AoA seem to have more knowledge than the guys at PA or Airgun Depot by a long shot. I almost always am on hold for a while when I call them, but once you get thru you see why - because they take a lot of time with you.
But - I have ordered from PA, and they were excellent in service, and I would highly recomend them for guns or supplies.
