Post by: grizzlyadams on August 22, 2013, 09:59:38 AM
will charlie's trigger work in the hatsan 1000x vortex. i looked around but could not find anything on it. it appears to be a gamo style trigger, but i don't have the gun here yet, so i can't say for sure

Have only heard positive reviews of these but they are temporarily out of stock.  You might contact them to find out when they will be available.

Charlies trigger will fit, and it will work BUT it's too short for the Striker's stock

You can go to Home Depot and purchase a metric allen-head screw 3mm -.05 x 8mm.  You simply remove the tiny screw immediately in back of the trigger (the spring goes across that area, but you can remove the screw).  Put in the 3mm x 8mm screw and turn it in until the barrel will no longer latch when you cock it open.  Then back off the allen screw until the barrel latches.  You now have a hair trigger ... back it off a little more.  You want to make sure that the rifle doesn't fire when you slam the barrel closed.  Shoot it and adjust the screw for trigger feel.  Save that little screw you removed ... you can put it back in to restore the rifle to original.  Don't mess with anything else.  And for less than 50 cents you have a nice trigger on your Striker.

I am having a weird issue with my Hatsan striker Vortex .25.  The trigger wont fire the gun unless I slide my finger off the fully pulled trigger and let it just spring back.  I have not adjusted the single screw yet but am a little confused about which way to go to pull the striker far enough to allow the piston to go forward and discharge the gun.  The first 50 or shots through the gun were ok and then this started happening.  Suggestions, or ship it back as a defect?

Hey Bob did you resolve this issue? I believe I am having a similar issue with my 1000s. Started around 50-100 shots.

I sent it back as a defect, but my replacement .22 Umarex did the same thing and I just did a trigger clean and polish and it is shooting just fine now...

Temporarily I used two 6mm split type lock washers on the pin that disengages the sear and it has a nice short trigger pull on my Haysan Striker Edge
