I work at a family owned business that employs around 65 folks. I'm in VERY rural West TN so most of the gents (fellers) here are avid outdoorsmen. Most hunt or fish or both. Most have carry permits. We are always talking about this pb or that pb. When I got into airguns seriously a few years ago, some thought it was just a phase I was going through. But as they saw more packages coming and going that looked like guns, they started noticing. So now the fellows ask me WHAT'S in the package? Let us see. LOL
I sometimes take my lunch hour and go out in the far back corner of our storage yard and set up targets and sling some lead. Generally it only takes about 5 minutes until I hear the familiar rumble of a tow motor approaching. The guys see and sometimes hear me shooting and come out to hopefully get a glance and to shoot one of my babies. :)
I have opened a lot of eyes to modern high powered airguns. The guys are just amazed at the difference in the BB guns of the old days compared to what they see before their eyes. They look like kids at Christmas when they let loose the first round. I have hopefully lit a flame that will spread here.
Last year I was asked by a couple of co-workers about an airgun capable of taking out tree rats. I said ain't no thang, I got just what you need. :)
I sold two of my babies last year but soon replaced them 3X over. LOL
Within the last month I have added 3 new airgun enthusiasts to the sport. I really don't care to sell my guns but....I can always buy another if/when I feel the urge. And it's gratifying to hear the remarks folks have about the purchase they made, how accurate it is and how it lays out what they wanted it to harvest. I'm an enabler for sure!!!!
Help spread the sport when you can. It's always more fun shooting with someone else. Spreading the addiction will create new shooting companions and folks you can talk airgun to. And it's a littler less geeky than talking pooters. ;)
SAFE & Happy Shooting!!!!

Dave,
I'm bettin' you don't feel even ONE BIT guilty either !
Haha

Only for a fleeting second as I push the button on my next replacement.
:)

Great job Dave, will they be joining the forum too?
Once they see pics of some of the guys monstrosities creations here, the floodgates will open. ;D

Dave,
You make a GREAT point on airgun selling! I have never had to put up an airgun on the Classifieds. I've offered a couple to GTA members privately, as they had a need...and they have been happy. BUT.....Folks seeing what "YOU" members,,, can do with modern models, (not junk), is a great way to get "THEM" into a "field proven" example of modern airgunning. Everyone is happy!

YES! Finally, you have admitted that you will sell one of your guns to someone if they need it bad enough!! LOL! Guess what, bro!?!
I've sold at least a couple of my airguns over the years to help someone get into the sport. It's a good feeling, especially when they start telling you how well they shoot now.

Dave,
Since you are in the 'spreading the addiction' mood, how about that Hatsan AT44 you keep in your truck?
LOL....
love that gun....

Just got to the lake a few minutes ago, fishing a bass tournament this weekend. Had the AT44 in the truck along with my blue laminated .25 MRod in case I happen across jonnnyboy in my travels. :)
I have a few buddies up here that have dabbled into airguns but not seriously. I called them over as I was unloading and said check these out. You should have seen their eyes as I opened the case of the MRod...HeeHee.
And the comments....I can't post here. ;)
Needless to say, they were VERY impressed, especially when I opened the tin of Eun Jin 43.2gr ammo and laid one in their hands. THEN the comments really got graphic.
LOVE it!!!!

Half the fun for me too Dave!!
Here are 4 that have been bitten by this nasty bug!!!

Wow...you captured the shot of the Co2 pistol perfect. Looks like special effects.
LOL

Had no clue till we looked at the pic later Dave!!! Imagine trying to do that???
So cool watching people brand new to the hobby and they're loving it!!!

At the rifle range I belong to it is rare these days to see anyone shooting a .22 rimfire. Everyone I talk to say they either can't find .22 ammo or can't afford it when they do find it and that they are holding on to what little ammo they do have.
If this continues and people see the accuracy potential of todays air rifles and how much fun they are to shoot, I think there will be a big increase in shooters. I am already seeing more and more show up on the range.

Good job Dave. Who knows maybe they will get into big bore air rifles and win a few converts themselves once they see what the rifles can do.
