i have been reading around and was wondering about if i need to get this and what it could be used for? i have a beeman wolverine sportsman rs2 22 caliber air rifle, i have read that where the spring is would be good as to keep it as slick as possible, also the seals would seal better if silicone was applied. this stuff that i found is really slippery, not real thick but not thin either and its food grade rated, what do ya'll think and what do ya'll use and recommend? thanks

Food grade stuff won't cut it. The silicone they're talking about is the same as used in R/C cars and can be had at hobby shops. Some use it, sparingly, for lubing the piston seal, not the spring. It's not good for metal to metal contact. Air Rifle Headquarters has a good, old school lubes kit that has become a standard. Yes, there are new products out there but these will get the job done.
